TWENTY-THIRD DAY - TRAVEL FROM NICE, FRANCE TO BARCELONA, SPAIN

Today was mainly a extremely long road trip with a few stops along the way.

The most interesting stop was at a little town of Arles in France. We stopped to have a look at the oldest ampitheatre (older than the Colosseum) and look around the small town.

We only had an hour to look around and eat lunch so we all quicky walked around the ampitheatre taking pictures, then some of us went in search of food and a clean bathroom. I was one of these.

Peter, Kathryn and I went to check out restaurants on the main strip and selected the correct one with a toilet. The other one we were going to select turned out not to have a toilet.

We were later joined by Jean and James and we all sat together eating big baguettes and drinking our soft drinks, before it was time to meet up with the others again and back on the bus. This was at 12:15pm.

We arrived at our hotel in Barcelona at 6:30pm.

While some went out in the rain to walk around Barcelona before dinner, I spent my time taking advantage of the free WiFi and catching up on posting my blogs.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant at 8:30pm - they don't eat any earlier here in Spain.

Salmon with baked, sliced potatoes was the main dish for tonight.

Tomorrow is a late start with a part bus, part walking tour of Barcelona.

PS: My blogs are finally up to date!!! OLE!!!!!
