VANCOUVER, CANADA - Last day of this tour
Weather: Warm and sunny. Slightly overcast in certain areas of the highway.
Another 9am start today. What a great day - sunny and warm. Strange, as it had snowed yesterday morning before we'd arrived in Lac Le Jeune.
We were all ready ahead of time today so we could take our last photos of the lake, chipmunk, squirrels and birds.
Then we were off for the last time.
Our first, and only stop was at a tiny town called Hope. This town's only claim to fame is that it was the setting of several scenes from the movie Rambo - First Blood. Apparently, some of the town's residents were extras in the movie - you had to be no taller than Sylvester Stallone as he's quite short.
The town has a park in the middle of it with chainsaw sculptures throughout the streets. These wooden sculptures are pretty awesome to see.
We were then on our way to the airport to drop off the folks that were flying home today. I had to say goodbye to Marilyn but we'll keep in touch. I'm going to miss her - we had fun! I just hope that I meet a Marilyn on my next tour.
Then I was back in Vancouver and back at the Marriott until leaving for New York on Monday - a Memorial Day public holiday. I regret that I didn't get to say goodbye to Steve and Dulcie who are off on the Alaska cruise tomorrow.
Tomorrow, I'm sleeping in and taking my time before my 10:30am Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain tour.
